Privacy, plainly.
Browsing
This launch version uses no advertising trackers, analytics scripts, external fonts or embedded social videos. Your hosting provider may process IP addresses and technical access logs to deliver and secure the site.
Submitting a story
When enabled, the Hall of Fame form asks for your email address, dog’s name, story and optional photograph. Your email is used to handle the entry and is never included in the published story. Submissions go to the site owner’s moderation inbox, not straight onto the website.
We ask for your consent to handle the entry and publish the supplied dog photograph and story. Do not send sensitive information or identifiable photographs of people. You must own the photograph or have the necessary permission.
Retention and control
Unpublished entries should be deleted within 90 days. Published contributions are kept until removed or the contributor withdraws permission. Email and hosting backups may retain deleted data until their normal retention periods expire. Ask for access, correction, removal or withdrawal of consent through the contact page. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Essential security
The submission page uses an essential session cookie for form security. It is not an advertising cookie. A short-lived hashed network identifier limits submissions; it is kept for no more than two hours. Uploaded images are converted to JPEG before emailing, stripping embedded metadata. Avoid putting identifying information in the image itself.
Who handles your data
The operator is Louise, founder of The Chihuahua. The contact page provides the operator’s email once configured. Story collection stays disabled until that contact and a submission inbox are set.
External links
Links to reference organisations or retailers take you to separate sites with their own privacy practices. No newsletter list is collected in this version.
